City, county and state offices have announced their hours for the Christmas holiday. None of the offices listed will be open Thursday, Christmas Day.
- Jefferson city offices will close Christmas Eve at noon. They will reopen Friday, Dec. 26, at 8 am for regular hours. The Thursday garbage route will be picked up on Friday.
- The Jefferson public library will not open Christmas Eve. The Greene County Community Center will be open Christmas Eve until 3 pm. Both the library and the community center will keep their regular hours Friday.
- Greene County offices at the courthouse will be open regular hours Christmas Eve (closing at 4:30 pm). County offices will be closed Dec. 26.
- The Greene County clerk of court will be open regular hours Christmas Eve (closing at 4:30 pm). The clerk of court office will be closed Dec. 26. Fines can be paid online at https://www.iowacourts.state.ia.us
- The Iowa State University Greene County Extension office will close Christmas Eve at noon and will also be closed Friday.
